Welcome to the Roslin Community Shed.

We started 3 years ago as “Roslin Mens Shed” and our small group have formed a close bond and have a good profile in the village. We have been involved in Annual Litter Pick, Remakery Festival in Masonic, Christmas Tree Pick Up, Repairing many benches and making numerous bird boxes, Hedgehog Boxes, Bird feeders. In normal times we met in  Loanhead, in a large workshop, every Tues/Wed 6-9pm.

We have been searching for a permanent home and we have a few options in the village to place a couple of containers. This would give us the advantage of being open 7 days a week for all in the village. Workshop, meeting room, social area..

So we feel the time is right to rebrand as “Roslin Community Shed”. We always have been open to all but this subtle change will help we hope bringing in Roslin’s array of creatives, wellbeing therapists, to join us. There are also options for a Community Garden next to the container..

We are registered Charity Sc48103 and a member of Scottish Mens Shed Association (SMSA). Information on the origin of Mens Shed can be found here.

Membership is open to anyone 18 years plus. We have a code of conduct that you also must read and agree to follow on joining. There are currently no membership fees, meetups, however, encourage a £1-2 donation to cover tea/coffee/biscuit costs.
